Members and admins
Everyone who belongs to your organization is a member. Some members are also admins. The role is part of how the person signs in, so a change applies the next time they load a page, and nothing about it is held on this site.
| Member | Admin | |
|---|---|---|
| Browse the catalog and pull what the organization holds | yes | yes |
| Acquire an environment with the organization's tokens | yes | yes |
| Issue a registry key | yes | yes |
| Revoke a key they issued | yes | yes |
| Revoke any key the organization has | yes | |
| Invite people, as member or admin | yes | |
| Change a member's role | yes |
Savant staff create and suspend organizations, and they add tokens. The Members page does not remove anyone from the organization.
The Members page
Members appears in the header for admins only. It lists everyone in the organization with their role and the date they joined, and offers one control per person: Make admin for a member, Make member for an admin.
An organization keeps at least one admin. Demoting the last one is refused with a message, and that includes demoting yourself, so make someone else an admin first if you are stepping back.
Inviting someone
Enter an address, choose member or admin, and press Invite. The invitation arrives by email and is accepted from there. Until it is accepted the person is not in the list; once it is, they sign in, choose the organization in the header, and have whichever role you chose.
If the address already belongs to a member, or already has an invitation waiting, the page says so and sends nothing.
